When a man is injured in war, he is considered a hero. When a woman is raped she is shamed, abandoned by her husband and community. Women for Women International reaches out to men community leaders with important messages about the value of women in their homes and communities. Men partner with Women for Women International and see value and benefits for themselves too

Women for Women International, Nigeria  http://www.womenforwomen.org/nigeria, shares a visit to the village and home of a woman to assess need before enrolling her in the program. Once in the program, women receive rights awareness and job skills training so that they may get a job or start a business and sustain an income after graduation. Country Director Ngozi Eze and staff members in the Nigerian offices are interviewed and shown at an enrollment session where you can hear and see the interview process.
